100 Roleplay Scenarios!

Here’s How It Works!

You and your RP group elect one RPer to roll the 100-sided dice. If you can’t decide, just go in alphabetical order of your tumblr roleplay blog usernames. Don’t worry, everyone will get a turn. (If you change your name to get ahead, you will be skipped over until the next time they get to your name. No excuses. Fair is fair).

Rolling the dice is easy: you go to this site, select “100” from the drop down list for number of sides, “1” for number of dice to roll and “1” for number of rolls. You are only allowed to roll once.

Whatever number comes up, you look up the corresponding number on the scenario list above and figure out a way for your character to instigate it or introduce it. Be creative. Many of these scenarios are left open-ended and vague so the interpretation is entirely up to you.

Watch the scenario unfold.

Repeat once everyone gets bored/or when you want to heighten the stakes. Make sure you’re communicating with your RP group via OCC chat.

It’s that time of the year again. To welcome in the holiday season, Skyping Homestuck will be hosting a Secret Santa for it’s members! Being a part of the Secret Santa will be a ton of fun, but there are some things that need to be outlined to keep it all organized and nice.

About:

The idea behind a Secret Santa event is very simple. After everyone signs up, names will be distributed. The name you get is the person that you will get a gift for—in character and out! These gifts can be whatever you’d like: writing, art, etc. Just keep in mind what your person is interested in and what they would enjoy receiving as their gift. Also, be aware that the in-character gifts will not require as much effort (that is, unless you want to put more effort in!). Remember: DO NOT REVEAL WHO YOU ARE A SECRET SANTA FOR! That totally ruins all of the fun.

Signing Up:

If you are interested in signing up for the Secret Santa, please send an ask to the group tumblr. This will keep everything simple and in one place, and overall just make it easier for us to put everything together!

As an option, you can also include gift ideas if you feel that people may not know what to get you. Or you can totally not do that and let the cards fall where they may and get a surprise. If you do not submit ideas, a link to your blog will be provided instead, where your Secret Santa may browse and try to decipher what may perk your interest that way! Either way you’re bound to get something interesting.

The deadline to sign up is December 15th at 11:59 pm EST. Please send your ask by then so that we can distribute names as soon as possible!

The presents will be given sometime around Christmas—the date is not set in stone as of yet. Keep an eye out for that as well!

Hey, everyone! Here is the movie schedule for October!! Filled with everyones halloween favorites!!
Now I’m sure you’re wondering ‘What the gosh dang diggity is up with those numbers and symbols??’. We took it into consideration to rate the movies based on 2spooky level and to represent what you might find in the movie!! The symbol and rating key is right here!!

Hey there! This is Vanny/Lovi, the Dave roleplayer and one of the admins at SkypingHomestuck! Recently, we’ve had a few positions opened because of various reasons. If you enjoy roleplaying Homestuck (literate and not), and you have Skype downloaded, you should check us out!

Most notably, our John Egbert position has been opened up. As all Homestuckers know, John is a very important character, and we would love to have one join our group! Along with John, we have several other open characters, including three of the main troll cast.

If you’re interested, the application can be found here. It’s relatively simple to fill out, though time should be put into it. Remember that the admins looking over your application are going to be looking for both good characterization and effort. This doesn’t mean that it has to be huge, but it needs to be as long as it takes for you to prove that you know and understand the character you are applying for.

Please, don’t wait on me to start. I want to see posts when I get home! Just remember to take it a bit slow until everyone is able to post at once.

Regarding “Maybe”s: If you are able to participate, pair up with someone else who is a maybe that does not have a date. If no one else decides to join in, until I am able to get home and work on your situation, go as a single. If you are a maybe and you are not able to join, that’s fine! Just make sure to let someone know.

WHOM:
- All current members of the group are able to join. If you wish to participate, you need to contact Lovi as soon as possible! The blind dates (see below) will be chosen before the actual event, so decide soon after reading this if you wish to participate.
- The deadline for signing up will be 5/9/12. This gives you three days as of when this was posted. This should be more than enough time to get in contact with someone. If for some reason you miss the deadline and still want to join, contact me and we can get it sorted out!
- It is preferred that everyone replies with a definite “yes” or “no”, to clear up confusion and to see how many members know that they have the option to join in.
WHAT:
- Along with the official Homestuck Prom, our roleplay group will be hosting its own Homestuck Prom!
- The setting is as follows: After everyone finally manages to get all together, a proper celebration is necessary! Someone (undecided) suggests a prom, seeing as it is around that time of the year. It was agreed upon—no one else had any other ideas, and it sounded like fun!
- Theme: Prospit/Derse! Ergo, the building that it takes place in will be decorated accordingly. You can chose to have your character dress up to fit if you want, but it’s not required.
- The roleplay will be literate. Check below for more details.
- The Prom will also be a BLIND DATE event. Check below for more info on this as well.
WHEN/WHERE/WHY:
- May 11th at 7 p.m. EST, in accordance with the actual event, is when it will preferably be beginning! The roleplay may last for as long as we wish to keep it going, however. It is not just limited to the 11th. It will take place, obviously, in the IC Skype chat.
- It should be fun! Our group needs to get in more literate roleplays as well, so it’s a win-win situation. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on the idea already.
HOW:
- The Prom will be a LITERATE ROLEPLAY hosted in the IC Skype Chat. The posts, however, should not be very big. AROUND 1 TO 3 PARAGRAPHS will be fine. We want this to go quickly! I love my long posts just as much as anyone else (if you know me, you know this), but we need this to go by faster. To flow. The paragraphs, however, should be full paragraphs. Not one or two sentences. Basically, just recall what you did in elementary school and put it to use, and you’ll be just fine.
- The event, so as to prevent issues with character interaction (see the note below), will be a BLIND DATE event. This simply means that nor you or your character will know who your date to the prom will be. This is also the reason a deadline is needed: so I can draw the pairings out randomly before the event and still leave a little leisure and fixing up time for anyone who may sign up late/find out they can’t join in.
OTHER NOTES:
- You need to decide on what your character will be wearing exactly. This may seem irrelevant, but it will come into play sometime in the roleplay, and it’s better to be prepared. Besides, what you wear is a very important part of an actual Prom, right? It’ll be fun!
- This is very important, seeing as many people in our group tend to stick with the same group of characters when interacting. This roleplay will start out with a clean slate: NO SHIPS.This is directed at everyone, not specific people. This also means all quadrants—matesprit, kismesis, moirail, and auspistice. They will not exist from the beginning, and they will not develop through the roleplay. No spontaneous confessions. While we all love shipping, let’s just stay friends with this one. Note: This doesn’t mean your character has to get along with everyone! Just stick to canon relationships for now.
- Just because this is a short literate roleplay doesn’t mean that it should be total crack. Let’s be a little serious with it! Serious not meaning the atmosphere, but the way the posts are made, etc. I don’t really believe this will be a problem, but it should be stated nonetheless.

Make sure to reply to this regardless of whether you are doing this or not via the group chat, tumblr ask or submission, or contacting Lovi directly! If you have any questions, ask and we’ll get them answered. Thanks, and I hope you guys have fun!
